At Boels Zanders, she focuses on matters relating to employment and pensions. What particularly appeals to her in this field is the human dimension of employment law: behind every case lies an organisation and the people who work there. Ellen helps employers translate complex legal issues into clear, practical advice. She finds it rewarding to support employers in making well-considered decisions, with due regard for both the legal framework and the interests of the people within the organisation.
After completing the higher professional education programme in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapeutic Techniques (MBRT), Ellen obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Law at Tilburg University, specialising in contract and liability law. She then worked for several years in the HR department of an advisory and accountancy firm. Since 2025, she has been working at Boels Zanders.
