Max van de Wolde Lawyer

Max is a lawyer who believes in innovation, justice, and being true to yourself. He is skilled in resolving a wide range of disputes and guiding situations in which parties aim to collaborate. He drafts commercial (IT) contracts and advises entrepreneurs during negotiations. In doing so, he pays particular attention to the use of technology and AI, as well as the legal and ethical frameworks that come into play.

As a member of the innovation working group, Max is committed to simplifying and accelerating legal work through standardisation, automation, and the use of Artificial Intelligence—such as generating contracts and analysing large volumes of documents. In addition, he serves as AI Compliance Officer at Boels Zanders, advising clients on AI compliance, risk management, and cybersecurity matters.

Max has extensive experience in insolvency law and frequently advises trustees, creditors, and companies in financial distress. In this context, he provides guidance on debt recovery, director’s liability, employee rights, ownership issues, and the permissibility of transactions. His background in insolvency enables him to quickly gain insight into complex financial and organisational situations.

He completed the specialisation programme Insolvency Law for Trustees with distinction in 2018 and graduated from the Grotius Academy’s National and International Contracting programme in 2020. In 2025, he obtained the title of Certified Artificial Intelligence Compliance Officer (CAICO).
