Justice, being able to be yourself: that’s what Max advocates for, as a lawyer. Working together in openness and taking responsibility. In this way, he learns a lot about people and cases in the profession, which serves him well as an experienced problem-solver. Max is adept at handling a variety of disputes as well as situations where the parties actually want to work together. He drafts commercial contracts and advises business owners in negotiations.
It’s nice when everything comes together: people, knowledge, commitment and technology. Max has a particular focus on the modernisation of legal services, including using software to generate contracts and sifting through large amounts of data. This makes the services he and his colleagues provide better and cheaper, which is important for fighting injustice.
Furthermore, Max regularly acts for bankruptcy trustees, creditors and companies in difficulty. In that capacity, he advises on matters including debt collection processes, directors’ liability, employee rights, ownership issues and the admissibility of transactions. In 2018, he completed the specialisation programme in Insolvency Law for Bankruptcy Trustees (cum laude) and, two years later, the Grotius specialisation programme in National and International Contracting.
