Every legal issue has its own challenges. To find an appropriate solution to these, Mei Li values a good relationship with clients and colleagues. She believes it is important to be approachable as a lawyer. Clients should dare to knock on her door, dare to be open in communication. That also helps their case move forward.
In doing so, Mei Li favours pragmatic thinking. The law is fixed, but sometimes leaves room to look outside the theoretical framework for a practical solution. Mei Li likes to use that space to find a solution that helps the client the most.
Mei Li obtained her bachelors in Law and Business Law from Tilburg University. She then completed three masters: Corporate Law and European Economic and Competition Law at Tilburg University and Financial Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She took courses in Rome and Milan and gained experience during and after her studies in Insolvency and Corporate Law: the expertise in which Mei Li has been advising and assisting clients at Boels Zanders since 2024.
