Acquisition: Budé Group sells its hardware stores to Intergamma and its real estate to an investment company.

Budé Group from Meerssen has transferred the operation of its hardware stores to franchise organization Intergamma. The acquisition includes 9 GAMMA stores and 4 Karwei stores, employing more than 400 people in total. At the same time, Budé Group sold its commercial properties to a foreign investment company. Boels Zanders advised Budé Group on both transactions.

About Budé Group

Budé was founded in 1901 as a family business in South Limburg and has grown into one of the largest operators of hardware stores in the southern Netherlands.

About Intergamma

Intergamma is the franchise organization behind the DIY retail brands GAMMA and KARWEI. With the acquisition of Budé Group’s hardware stores, the total number of GAMMA and KARWEI stores directly managed by Intergamma rises to 174, of which 153 are located in the Netherlands.
