Acquisition: Lean HR Strengthens Umani Group in Limburg

Lean HR has joined the Belgian Umani Group. The acquisition fits within a broader growth strategy in the border region and offers new opportunities for both parties. Boels Zanders advised Lean HR on this transaction, which was completed in July 2025 and publicly announced in early September.

Lean HR

Lean HR is a leading HR service provider with offices in Roermond, Sittard and Venlo. The company operates in temporary staffing and recruitment & selection for sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, engineering and office support. Lean HR is known for its community-driven approach and achieves more than one thousand placements annually with a team of sixteen employees.

Umani Group

Umani Group is a Belgian HR player with operations in both Belgium and the Netherlands. The group pursues a buy-and-build strategy and focuses on sustainable growth in the region. With the acquisition of Lean HR, Umani strengthens its position in Dutch Limburg and expands its services with local expertise.

A Merger with Vision

The collaboration between Lean HR and Umani Group comes at a time of fundamental shifts in the labour market. Developments such as structural labour shortages, increasing diversity and technological advancement are placing new demands on employers and intermediaries. As of 2026, the legal framework will also change significantly, including in the areas of certification and pay equity. In this context, the partnership provides Lean HR with greater scale, technological support and a stronger compliance structure, while preserving its personal approach and strong regional roots.
