Planning and environmental law
Planning and environmental law covers the physical environment in which we live, work and play, and therefore any project you want to implement in that environment. To simplify the laws and regulations governing spatial development, the Dutch government adopted the Environment Act, which is intended to strike a balance between utilising and protecting the living environment.
Planning and environmental law is a dynamic area of law in which nature conservation is playing an increasingly prominent part. Our specialists assist public authorities as well as companies. We advise and litigate on issues relating to spatial planning, business expansion, the environment, water, nature conservation and general administration. A special role is reserved for the subject of nitrogen. We help both in obtaining an ecological permit or plan permission and in avoiding enforcement.
