A good result does not always equal a win. A solution that works satisfactorily in practice: in the end, that’s what counts. Silvia is happy to commit to this, openly and honestly. She tells it like it is and that is appreciated, as evidenced by the long relationship she has with some clients.
Silvia is active in the areas of competition, privacy, compliance and integrity. She started her career at the Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM) and subsequently gained experience in both business and law. This broad experience enables her to advise businesses in a practical manner and from a broad perspective.
Silvia specialises in assisting businesses and directors in ACM investigations. She has participated in numerous cartel proceedings and internal compliance investigations. Major successes include the annulment of the fining decisions in the Openbaar Groen Maastricht cartel, the Foreclosure Sales case and the Betonmortel commitment decision.
Silvia is a Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E) and has authored several publications, including the book ‘Checklist Privacy, privacybeleid in 46 checklists’ (Berghauser Pont Publishing) and the book ‘Distributieovereenkomsten – EU – België – Nederland’ (Larcier).
