Investment company Bencis is acquiring a majority stake in the Heerlen-based automation company Cadac Group. After a successful investment of 27 years, development company LIOF has stepped down as co-shareholder. Jan Baggen and LIOF were advised by Boels Zanders during the transaction.
“For Cadac, Bencis is the best option,” said founder and CEO Jan Baggen, who will continue in his role and, through TwinPort, will retain a quarter of the shares.
Cadac is a market leader in automation related to design, engineering, and construction software and is one of Autodesk’s largest partners, particularly in the Benelux, Germany, and Southern Europe. Autodesk is a U.S. software company globally recognized for its advanced design, engineering, and construction software, such as AutoCAD and Revit.
